1. Connect the red wire of the LED scanner to 12 volts constant positive.
2. Connect the black wire from the LED scanner to the negative when armed wire of the car alarm
3. Connect the yellow wire to 12 volts constant positive.
If you do not have a car alarm
1. . Connect the red wire of the LED scanner to 12 volts constant positive.
2. Connect the black wire from the LED scanner to constant negative
3. Connect the yellow wire to the ignition wire that shows 12 volts when the key is turned to the ON position.
Your done.
If you installed it with car alarm using step 1 above, then when ever you arm the alarm the LED scanner will activate.
If you installed it without a car alarm using step 2 above, then the LED scanner will activate when your car is parked and the key is in the off position.
